Our company was appointed to assess and map the vulnerabilities faced by local populations in Zambia’s Copperbelt, North-Western, and Central Provinces due to climate change. As part of the Expanded Response to Climate Resilience in Development Project, our focus is on understanding how climate change affects the economy, environment, and assets of these communities. We undertake a comprehensive situational analysis, investigating past and current climatic hazards and their specific impacts on various sectors.
Our work includes verifying and ground-truthing climate change predictions through advanced climate change modelling to assess future climatic hazards. Based on our findings, we provide actionable recommendations for climate-resilient adaptation strategies, helping local communities transition towards more sustainable practices. Our approach aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that the solutions we provide foster long-term resilience and sustainability for both urban and rural areas.
Through a thorough risk assessment of vulnerabilities and climate-related challenges, we aim to support the development of infrastructure that is not only adaptive to climate change but also economically viable and environmentally sound, promoting a future-proof pathway for resilient growth and development.
